How to Remove a Tick

To remove a tick from your cat, you will need a pair of tweezers. Gently grasp the tick as close to the skin as possible and pull it out slowly. 

What to Do After Removing 

After removing the tick, wash the area with soap and water. You may also want to apply a topical antibiotic to prevent infection.

How to Prevent

Apply a tick prevention medication to your cat.

Signs

If your cat has been bitten by a tick, they may develop signs of a tick-borne illness, such as: Fever, Lethargy, Loss of appetite, etc.
